Chiropractor Tyler Fix D.C.
Dr. Tyler Fix grew up in Edmonton and returned home to practice after graduating from Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon.
Dr. Fix spent 6 years working with amazing people in an amazing facility at River Valley Health here in Edmonton.
The knowledge and experience gained at RVH are beyond comparison. He has had the privilege of serving all kinds of people from Professional hockey, football, basketball, and lacrosse players as well as Olympic athletes, many WHL, and high-level youth hockey players as well as active people from all walks of life.
In 2013 he opened Redefined Health. His vision is to offer treatment and education designed to help people get and stay healthy for a lifetime. Healthy people perform better, feel better, and recover from training or injuries faster.
A strong, flexible, properly functioning body is essential for health and the best way to prevent injury. When he’s not working, Dr. Fix enjoys spending time with his lovely wife and 3 boys, as well as playing hockey and tennis, waterskiing, mountain biking, and golfing. Pretty much anything that keeps him moving.
Chiropractor Jillian McKinnon D.C.
Dr. McKinnon considers anyone who participates in physical activity an athlete and has had the opportunity to work with those of all age groups and calibers. Including professional hockey players, boxers, collegiate athletes, weekend warriors, and especially enjoys working with school-aged athletes.
Before deciding to pursue chiropractic, Dr. McKinnon worked as a fitness trainer with River Valley Health in Edmonton, a multidisciplinary clinic that focused on the treatment and training of athletes. Her time at RVH inspired her to continue her education and learn as much as she could about treating and optimizing the human body and its athletic potential with chiropractic.
Dr. Jillian McKinnon grew up on a farm near Macklin, Saskatchewan playing sports such as hockey, volleyball, and badminton. She then moved to Edmonton and completed her Physical Education degree in Sports Performance at the University of Alberta. Dr. McKinnon went on to complete her doctorate at the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon before moving back to Edmonton to begin practicing here at Redefined Health.
She is certified in upper & lower extremity ART and has a passion for exercise rehab as optimal movement patterns are key to improving both injuries and overall performance. Recently, she completed her Strong First Kettlebell Certification and is more than happy to offer her training services whether it be program design, one-on-one training, or a series of sessions. Dr. McKinnon is also currently completing a diploma with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and is Webster Technique certified (ideal for pregnant women).
When she’s not working, Dr. McKinnon loves going back to Saskatchewan to be at the lake with family to enjoy boating in the summer and pond-hockey in the winter.
Chiropractor Amber Spellman D.C.
Dr. Amber Spellman grew up in the Devon area, received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alberta and returned to Edmonton to practice after graduating from Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon.
Dr. Spellman has education in Upper Extremity, Lower Extremity, Spine and Nerve Entrapment ART protocols. She is also a certified Graston Technique and Kinesio-Taping provider. When Amber is not at work she spends her free time with her family and participating in many sports including volleyball, golf, and competitive fast-pitch.
Dr. Leyanna Zubach-Cassano - Naturopathic Doctor
Dr. Leyanna Zubach-Cassano graduated from the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in June 2009. After working in BC for a year, she returned home to Edmonton where she began working as part of an integrated medical team at River Valley Health.
In her 4 and half years of practice there, she gained a lot of knowledge in the areas of sports medicine and injury management, prevention and recovery. Dr. Zubach-Cassano is well versed in the areas of sports medicine, nutritional requirements for athletic performance and post-event recovery. She has treated many common athletic issues including muscle cramping, digestive disturbance during competition, fatigue, system dysfunction and more. Dr. Zubach-Cassano is also one of the few medical practitioners in Edmonton that practices prolotherapy- a regenerative treatment for ligament, tendon and joint injuries.
As a former competitive swimmer and soccer player, in her free time, Dr. Zubach-Cassano still participates in both sports. She continues to be active in her daily life and considers this an asset in her ability to treat athletes.
Dr. Zubach-Cassano is passionate about her career in Naturopathic Medicine and hopes to always be able to share her expertise with her patients. She is a results-driven individual that will always work hard in the interest of helping her patients feel better.
Dr. Zubach-Cassano’s hours are:
- Tuesday/Friday: 9:15am – 2:00pm
- Saturdays (3 per month): 9:00am – 3:00pm.
Pamela Denis – Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac.)
Pamela graduated from the Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncture program at Grant MacEwan in 2011 and is registered with the College and Association of Acupuncturists of Alberta.
She is proud to be one of three Canadians selected to complete advanced training in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of sports injuries and pain in the Acupuncture Sports Medicine Apprenticeship program in 2013, under the instruction of Whitefield Reeves OMD, L.Ac. Pamela is currently completing her C.S.M.A (Certified Sports Medicine Acupuncture) designation, expected completion January 2017. Currently, there are only four Canadians who have completed their C.S.M.A. and when completed she will be the only acupuncturist in Canada who holds both titles.
Pamela uses cupping, Guasha, electro-acupuncture, as well as advanced needling techniques. Her focus is using acupuncture to alleviate pain and facilitate healing of sports injuries as well as chronic conditions such as arthritis. She is passionate about making sports acupuncture a sought after modality by both recreational and elite athletes. In her free time, she enjoys running and all types of yoga.
Lilliana Nguyen – RMT
Lilliana specializes in deep tissue and therapeutic massage. Lilliana is certified in Neuromuscular Therapy, Myofascial Cupping and Kinesiotaping and is currently enrolled at MacEwan University with a view to expanding her extensive experience through continuing education. She has a passion for learning and plans to advance her studies, working towards her accreditation in Acupuncture.
Lilliana believes in customizing treatment for individual clients, with a strong belief that the health and happiness of the patient are paramount. What works for one person may not be perfect for another, so whether its relaxation one day and therapeutic the next, progress takes time and physical health is a whole body and soul journey that requires constant input and work.

Amy Andreychuk – RMT
Amy graduated from the Grant MacEwan 2200 hour massage therapy program in 2008 and has been a member in good standing with the Massage therapist association of Alberta (MTAA) since then. After graduation, Amy spent the first 6 years of her career working at a sports facility gaining experience from an amazing multidisciplinary team.
Amy’s initial interest in sports and wellness came from competing with sprint kayaking. Amy was a member of the Alberta Sprint Canoe and Kayak team for 8 years. She is now actively involved with the St. Albert Canoe and Kayak club’s paddle ability program working as a coach.
Amy has a special interest in therapeutic, sports and pre and post natal massages although she also offers deep tissue and relaxation massage.
