Nick Johnson - Provisional Registered Psychologist

Nick Johnson is a Registered Provisional Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists. Nick attained a degree in Masters of Counselling Psychology and is a member of the Psychologist Association of Alberta. Nick has worked with children (aged 10+), adolescents, and adults of all ages for the past several years. The issues Nick has often helped clients with Men’s issues, Life transitions, Values and Goal Setting, Adolescent and Teenage issues, Depression, Anxiety, Attention-Deficit-Hyperactive-Disorder, and Respecting and Integrating Religion and Spirituality into therapy for those who desire it.

Nick also had a past career of being a professional hockey player (including playing over 100 games in the NHL) and has aided many teens and young adults with sport and performance psychology issues and been a support for performance lifestyles.

Nick enjoys being client centered in his approach, utilizing the therapeutic models of acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy, and eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR).  Nick believes that reorienting and lasting change can occur in peoples lives, and he finds great joy in aiding people with these counselling approaches.

Nick’s Hours:

    Tuesdays 2pm-7pm
  • Online Appointment Availability:
    Monday 930am – 1230pm
    Thursdays 530pm-730pm
    Fridays 1045am – 330pm
Early mornings may be available on weekdays and Saturdays (please inquire)
