Back Pain Relief & Treatment

Human spine is a column of 30 or more bones that are held together by tendons, muscles and ligaments which are then cushioned by shock absorbing disks. Problem in any one part of the spine can cause back pain. Back pain for some could be annoyance but for some it is much more than just annoyance, for them, it could be excruciating and disabling.

Common Causes for Back Pain

  • Ankylosing Spondylitis – It is an inflammatory disease that results in the fusing of some of the vertebrae. The fusing causes the spine to be less flexible ultimately causing a hunched-forward posture.
  • Fibromyalgia – This disorder leads to widespread musculoskeletal pain along with sleep, fatigue, sleep and even mood/memory issues. Research shows that fibromyalgia amplifies painful sensations in the back.
  • Herniated Disk – It refers to a problem that happens with either of the rubbery cushions/disks that are stacked between the individual vertebrae bones of the spine leading to back pain.
  • Kidney Infection – Pyelonephritis is a specific kind of urinary tract infection which generally begins in the urethra or the bladder and then travels up to the kidneys. It is also associated closely with back pain
  • Osteoporosis – This disorder causes the bones to become brittle and weak, so brittle, that even a fall or coughing can lead to a fracture. Osteoporosis-related fractures commonly take place in the spine, hips or wrist.
